LAGOS STATE POLYTECHNIC (LASPOTECH) HOLDS ORIENTATION PROGRAMME FOR FRESHLY ADMITTED PART-TIME STUDENTS.

Lagos State Polytechnic held her 2017/2018 orientation programmes for the newly admitted students in the school of Part-time Studies on Thursday,23rd of November,2017.The student Orientation program is basically to orient the newly admitted students on the rules and regulations of the school and varieties of events that takes place in the school.

Students from various departments of the school were assembled in the 700-seater hall of the Polytechnic.The Director of the School of Part Times Studies addressed the students making them understand that the Polytechnic of excellence would not tolerate any form of indiscipline from any student.

She urged the students to always call the attention of the School Management if a lecturer missed his or her lecture mainly stating that there shouldn't be hidden affairs or relationships between Lecturers and students.She also stated that Textbooks that are not authorised by the department shouldn't be sold or patronised by students.

The Assistant Director of the School of Part-Time Studies laid emphasis more on Educational Malpractice stating that the Institution does not accept any form of plea after being engaged in any form of malpractices whatsoever rather such person will be dismissed or suspended from the institution.He made the students understand that Lecturers do not take bribe from students to pass Examination and if caught with such act, the penalty is DISMISSAL.

Lagos State Polytechnic Chief Security Officer addressed the students, making them understanding the proper and decent dressing mode of the institution.He stated that indecent dressing, illicit acts, cultism and defiant behaviour are not tolerated.Such person who engage in such acts will face the school panels and be dealt with accordingly before being rusticated.

Other dignitaries present at the orientation are coordinators from the various departments,the School's auditor, and the SPTSE Chairman who were all introduced to the new students through the assistant director's for recognition.
